Cordyceps sinensis is a species of fungus found in the vicinity of the Tibetan Plateau. Cordyceps grows only in the highest parts of the mountains at certain times of the year, which makes its acquisition a big challenge. The fungus has been used for thousands of years by Tibetan peoples.
