Vitamin A is a carotene derivative belonging to the group of carotenoids. It is a component classified as fat-soluble vitamins, which is accumulated in the human body in the liver and adipose tissue. It occurs naturally in food, in products such as offal, milk and dairy products, vegetables (e.g. carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin) and fruit (e.g. peaches).
