Dietary supplements - why use L-Glycine?
L-glycine is an organic chemical compound from the group of endogenous amino acids. Despite the fact that it is structurally the smallest amino acid (has only one hydrogen atom in the side chain), it plays a very significant role in the functioning of our body. It is a protein amino acid that creates protein structures (eg collagen), but also acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glycine is involved in the production of DNA, phospholipids and collagen, and also has a significant effect during the release of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which contain high-energy bonds that are necessary for all life processes.
