The Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are essential because our bodies can’t manufacture them. They account for 35% of the essential amino acids in muscle proteins. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human blood. Glutamine may become conditionally essential in certain situations, including intensive physical training, when the body cannot meet its needs by synthesizing glutamine.
