Reishi - Ganoderma lucidum - a species of fungus native to Asia, belonging to the family Polyporaceae. It is also known as reishi, and in Poland also referred to as lacquered bracket fungus, which refers to the mushroom's shiny surface. Reishi grows mainly on deciduous tree species and can usually be found on dead plant parts. Due to its bitter taste, it is considered an inedible species of fungus, but thanks to its wealth of active substances, it is used as an ingredient in dietary supplements.

Lion's mane - Hericium erinaceus - a species of Asian fungus of the family Hericiaceae. It is an edible fungus that is usually found in deciduous forests, growing primarily on weak, old or dead trees. It is a product that stands out for its distinctive appearance - after all, it is referred to as a lion's mane for a reason, as well as its unique aroma, which is reminiscent of the taste of seafood.

Cordyceps - Cordyceps sinensis - a species of parasitic fungus, belonging to the family Ophiocordycipitaceae. It occurs naturally in the Tibetan Plateau, in the highest parts of the mountains, at an altitude of approx. 3- 4 thousand meters above sea level. For growth and development, the cordyceps uses caterpillars of the genus Thitarodes, usually located several centimeters underground. The mycelium, extracting nutrients from the larvae, moves towards the surface of the earth, and then grows a fruiting plant, which resembles a small club bell. Cordyceps is distinguished by its slightly bitter taste and meaty smell. The mushrooms of cordyceps are a rich source of biologically active substances - the fungus contains, among others, nucleotides, amino acids and polysaccharides, which make cordyceps often used as a component of dietary supplements.

Chaga - Inonotus obliquus - a species of fungus of the family Hymenochaetaceae, also known as chaga or birch polypore, which results from the fact that the chaga grows mainly in birches, although sometimes also occurs on other deciduous tree species. It is a parasitic fungus that grows mainly in northern China and Siberia. It has been appreciated in traditional folk medicine for hundreds of years due to its wealth of biologically active substances.

The extracts from Asian mushrooms used in OstroVit preparation are standardized for a specific content of polysaccharides, which positively affects the quality of the dietary supplement and ensures the same amount of substances in each serving of the product.
