OstroVit Lutein Forte - a source of valuable carotenoids

Lutein - yellow xanthophyll pigment belonging to the group of carotenoids. It occurs naturally in nature and is a plant pigment that gives color to vegetables and fruits. The human body is not capable of natural synthesis of the compound, which is why lutein must be supplied to the body from outside - with the daily diet or in the form of supplements. The substance can be obtained from the yolk, as well as from plant products such as spinach, kale, pumpkin, carrots or parsley. Lutein is found in the retina of the eye. Since it dissolves well in fats, it is worth supplying it to the body in the company of high-fat products.

Zeaxanthin - organic chemical compound from the xanthophyll group. It is a carotenoid that naturally occurs in the retina of the eye. Zeaxanthin can be supplied to the body with food or in the form of dietary supplements. Dietary sources of the compound include, i.a, tomatoes, corn, broccoli and spinach.

OstroVit uses lutein and zeaxanthin at the same time, which is due to the fact that the compounds have a synergistic effect. In addition, dietary supplement also contains safflower oil and soybean oil, which has a positive effect on the bioavailability and assimilation of ingredients in the body.
